"Your efforts in Civil Air Patrol reflect the commitment to voluntary community service that will be essential to solving our nation's most pressing social problems.  By reaching out to those in need, you are setting an outstanding example for your fellow Americans"
-- Former President George Bush

Collectively, these activities are designed to develop their leadership skills with hands-on experience and practical application.  Therefore, the program is run by the cadets under the supervision of senior members (adult members over the age of 18).
